I like the focus on being able to keep the defense fresher throughout the game, by rotating more players while still maintaining a high level of play.

Too often, last year, our defense just ran out of gas.

 

"I think they're used to playing a lot of snaps and surviving a lot of snaps," tackles coach Sean Cronin said.

"They're not gonna have to do that with what we're gonna do. We're gonna rotate 'em and keep 'em fresh. And so we expect them, because we're keeping 'em fresh, to play really, really, really, really hard and to strain on every play."

The first four games, maybe ... but the other 8, we averaged just over 39 points a game.
