xCOA's 2 1/2 years here were punishment enough for him ... although the compensation may help that.

I want one of those gigs where you get lifetime retirement compensation for failure.

I know the rewards can be high for the coaching profession but there is no way in hell I could have ever gotten used to the nomadic life most live ...

One thing you can say about Mac is that he knew his, and more importantly the program's, limitations when he said never would have taken the job if he knew we heading to the Big East.

At that point we couldn't even make the tourney while playing in CUSA.

Also CSH was able to bring us to the tourney coming out of that very same Big East, which I agree was an unbelievable accomplishment on his part.

I do not believe we should have ever let CSH go.   I also believe we would be very competitive in this AAC if we still had him.

That was mainly due to Seth. We possibly may have had more success under Mac. He only had two years and we were on a little upward trend .... beating a couple of ranked teams and winning two games in the CUSA tourney for the first time our last year there.

One of those things we do agree on. Don't know if Stan would have ultimately built something here but should have been given that third year after the tourney run, especially under the circumstances.
