FGCU is getting plenty of love in the BB polls:

In the rankings: @BaseballAmerica: #12 @d1baseball: #15 @CBNewspaper: #15 @NCBWA: #16 @USATODAYsports: #17 @PerfectGameUSA: #17

If USF baseball wishes to gain more respect from the polls, it MUST win @FGCU on Wednesday

Agree.

Even if it blows up the rotation, we MUST WIN this game.

But, we also have a 3-game MUST SWEEP series with FAMU this weekend.

Glad I don't have top make the rotation decisions, but these four games are CRUCIAL!!!!!!!!!!!

I am willing to put all my winnings from my TigerJay bet on the line that Sanders starts this game for us.

DJ tomorrow and then Strzelecki vs FGCU.  Rotation just moved Pete out of the Sunday start, not a huge move.  I would have switched these two, but we'll see how it goes.  First things first, lets beat UNF tomorrow night.  $2 hot dog night too!

Go Bulls!

Our RPI is strong, our SOS is atrocious. Not worried about the rankings. We have FGCU and FAMU coming up. Sweep those, and we'll be ranked in every poll.

The only two teams that we've beaten that are over .500 are FSU and Iowa.

It isn't just beating the teams you are supposed to beat, it is how we are beating them. Superb pitching, excellent and timely hitting, and good fielding. Also, baseball is one of those sports where it is really hard to win every game. The National Champs frequently have 13 to 15 losses on the season.

Also, Warrennolan.com updated its projection for the season and all I can say is that i hope it comes to fruition:

Predictions
Record 47 - 9
Conf Record 19 - 5

RPI 9
SOS 78

Good thing we are literally boat racing the competition. Also was Harvard was above .500 coming in until we swept them. Look, all of the home games are definitely a factor (half of the weekend series' have been teams playing away because it's snowing where they are from,) so yes that is a factor; but baseball is not a game where sweeping everyone is easy. Literally every section of this team is playing lights out.

ill be there tonight after work (I love working on campus and literally walking to the stadium.)

That Nolan prediction is crazy.  I'd love to go 19-5 in the AAC, but it aint gonna happen.  I'm thinking it will be closer to 13-11 ish.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
