Why are the Bulls not ranked? Seriously 16-1 beat the #1 team....ill admit im a causal follower who only checks if bulls won or not but why are they not ranked? Is our schedule that poor? We are still 16-1 and beat FSU....

Other than FSU, we have played a bunch of dogs.

Because we're 17 games into a 50+ game season. Equivalent to 4 games into a football season. They don't rank every 4-0 team that started unranked in football. Give it time.

We haven't played anyone significant yet. We beat FGCU and win FAMU 2-1 or better and we'll likely be ranked. If we don't also sweep Harvard and UNF we won't

Our SOS is 180 and our RPI is only 42 so far

Welp, we got the first one against Harvard!

Here's a wierd question - since when do we play 7-inning games?

The Bulls and Crimson will play a double-header tomorrow that begins at 2:00 p.m. The first game will be seven innings and the second will be nine.

You're allowed to play a 7 inning game during a double header if both teams agree to it. They don't do it for conference games, though.

7 inning games are fairly common for doubleheaders, especially game 1 of a DH

Planning on going to this one. Have to work on campus at 6 so it'll work out!

Thanks!

Related question. I know softball has a mercy rule, but does NCAA baseball?

10 after 7 innings for a 9 inning game. After 5 for a 7 inning game. Not typically used during conference play, but some conferences elect to use it in some form or another (last day of a series so no one misses a plane out of town due to a blowout).
