Merrell led the Bulls in hitting over a 5-0 week, batting .526 (10-for-19) collecting a hit in all five games, including multi-hit games three times. He led the Bulls with seven RBI and 10 runs scored. Against Villanova in an 8-1 win on March 8, Merrell finished 4-for-5 with a career-high five RBI and two home runs. Merrell also tallied three stolen bases and only struck out once during the week. Merrell leads the Bulls with a .433 average and 24 runs scored. Sanders earns his first weekly honor of the season on the heels of a seven inning outing against Valparaiso on Friday. The senior allowed five hits and struck out 10 batters in an 11-2 win. Sanders did not allow a run, lowering his ERA to 1.78 on the season. The 15-1 Bulls are back in action this Friday for the start of a four-game series against Harvard.
