Best draw we could have hoped for. We can compete with Mizzou and FSU has stumbled into the NCAA Tourney losing 4 of their last 5.

I checked their starting lineup. Their starters are all 6'1 or less except one of their starting forwards (assuming she plays center) who is 6'4.

You would think this bodes well for us, but they did pull off a win against South Carolina at home. I think Mizzou is going to be a very tough matchup. We have one common opponent, Georgia. We won by 16 early in the season, they won by 18 in the middle of the season. Tough to say. If the physical, motivated, rebounding hard team that hits tons of shots shows up we can win this. If they bring their A game though, Laksa will need to have a monster game.

we dodged both bullets. We are not a 8/9 seed and we are not in UCONN's bracket. It will be tough to get 2 in tallahassee but if we can pull it off we would face in all likelihood Oregon State in Stockton and South Carolina. The better news is we wouldn't face UCONN until the title game so we won't have to worry about them if we pull off a cinderella story until the championship game

Mizzouri is 5-7 (1-3 out of conference) on the road and 1-2 on neutral floor games but 15-1 at home so the good news is they are very beatable away from Mizzou arena. They have 3 girls that average in double figures with Sophi Cunningham averaging 17.3 PPG so they we will have to knock down shots and D up if we are going to beat them

They seriously couldn't have made it a late night tip off? Oh well, guess I'll have to see about working remote on Monday so I can watch them beat FSU if they win Friday.

I do not get the seeding. I would have thought at worst a 10 seed. Really should have been between 7 and 9. Let's go make a run ladies.

With an 11 seed they just barely got into the tourney.

For those wondering about seed discrepancy; selection committee heavily factored geographical proximity. Purdue/Cal Last 4 in but #9 seeds.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
