I agree that someone like Dooley is probably "as good as it gets" for us .... just don't consider "as good as it gets" as synonymous with "home run hire". A home run hire, to me, would be a lot higher profile, with more success, whose name alone would breathe a little life back into the program. Nobody seriously mentioned up to this point fits that bill.

We lack funds and fans, and the results of an NCAA investigation are still looming. I think there may be legs to the Dambrot turning us down rumors. I wish Gregory the best of luck.

the Akron coach did turn you down...so maybe the job was offered around and folks simply said no.

that happened to memphis after Cal...Mike Anderson and Scott Drew turned us down before we settled for Pastner.
