He just tore apart the players airport story.  Really not much time at all to fall asleep, and they probably could have gone straight over and boarded the other plane before falling asleep.   So what were they up to?

If we were 23-5 right now, this wouldn't even be a story to begin with. The fact that the program is in disarray is feeding this narrative. No one was hurt. Nothing bad happened. The guys were back in town later that day. Move on.

I do appreciate Joey Knight actually peeling back the onion here and getting into who really should be responsible for this non-story story.

We have criticized JK enough on this blog. But he deserves credit for digging into this situation and exposing some of the obvious concerns about two adults missing a flight.

But I can't help but think that this is exactly what USF was trying to avoid,a he said she said with the players mother.  That's why the current coach took responsibility and you've heard nothing from the administration in regards to the responsibility of the players.

I am sure it was said on another thread. If you can't make you own flight and want to complain about it. Fine. But you have to wear this going forward.

It's likely that they were somewhere away from the gate screwing off

Eh, doubt it. And at the very least, I wouldn't say it's "likely". Airports aren't exactly playgrounds, so I'd say it's doubtful they were randomly walking around an airport when they knew when their next flight was.

These kids are used to traveling, i don't think they would just venture off in a random airport when they know their schedule.

I think the reason they missed the flight is pretty obvious, but my post was deleted.

There's bars, restaurants, gift shops, girls...  I still stand by my assertion, that they were likely somewhere, away from their gate, messing around.
