Down 0-2 in the bottom of the 9th with 2 outs and Chetfield just tied it up with a homerun to right!

2 guys that are really killing our offense...Joe Genord and Cam Montgomery.  Genord needs to be moved out of the cleanup spot for sure.  3 DPs in 5 games with bases loaded.  Montgomery seems to be already in platoon mode due to his lack of hitting.

I don't have a beef with Montgomery. He threw an absolute strike from medium right today and froze the guy thinking of trying to score right in his tracks. I'm sure that has something to do with his being in the lineup. Also, he's hitting 8th. Not exactly a spot in the lineup you're looking for prime production out of. Chatfield (today's heroics aside) is the real deal, though. I think you're going to see a mix and match for a the next few weeks with Chatfield, Stunkel, Zech, and Montgomery until some separation becomes clear. I'm not a fan of Dietrich, though. He hasn't hit for **** and, the few times they pushed the envelope, Miami ran all over him today. Maybe there was no intention of having him start this year and the Borders situation caught us off guard, but he's a weak link right now.

Montgomery is like 1-15 at the plate right now, easily the lowest batting average on the team.  Unless things change we will only see him when there is a lefty starter or possibly a situational at bat late in a game.  He needs to start hitting ASAP or his fate is doomed.  Its too bad...I think he plays a very good RF

Baseball is one of the best games in the world. The magic that is happening to the USF baseball team is amazing.

USF is getting amazing at bat and ball sports...seriously.

KIngston has baseball on the rise, softball has been consistently good under Ken Eriksen, and lest I forget we are the Alabama of American college cricket.
