Hockey is a very very expensive sport. The University in which I teach at is in the Hockey East conference. It is one of the better conferences for college hockey.  We have a 13,000 seat arena on campus but because the team is no longer very good we only get about 6000 per game.  But I do enjoy watching it. USF would need all of the other schools in the area to become members too.  There is also a title IX considerations. We could work on a Division II level but Division I very difficult.  Still, at the end of the day,  I would prefer any extra $ go to football.

I'd also like to see the Rugby club team upgraded to schollie status, so that means we'd have to add TWO women's teams.

And hopefully football will take off to unprecedented highs, and pay for all this other stuff!

Decided to go to the game with @jbisson131 on a whim and it did not disappoint. The facility is fantastic and UGA v Kennesaw State was also playing on a rink below us. There was a really solid turnout of USF fans (and a few Liberty fans, too.) The game was back in forth for awhile in the 2nd and the 3rd as a nailbiter until the last couple of minutes. Bulls take the victory 6-3 and are now qualified for nationals in Columbus, OH. It was a lot of fun and am looking forward to following them in he next level!

Yeah, I think he was still in middle school then, LOL. He played mid-aught's  if I recall correctly. Haven't seen him post much these days though.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
