They're not generally great outside of football, but they are a good program. I would actually prefer UConn to stay, believe it or not. They've been a good program over the years and I don't think they will fit well at the FCS level, believe it or not. Their stadium is too big and so is their fan base. They're still ahead of UMass in all sports. Perhaps the American and UConn can come to an agreement on some specific items. Just as the Army-Navy game is held outside of conference TV rights, you give them the rights for women's basketball back. It's not as if they're going to turn revenue big time in either direction. Won't miss UConn at all. They fit better in the BE than they ever did in the AAC. To far north. I wouldn't mind Georgia State as a replacement. They fit the profile. Big city, former commuter schools, going big-time in athletics could marta from airport to games

I don't think the league would take them without UConn being in the league. Think more about schools in or near the footprint: Old Dominion, Charlotte, Marshall, Rice, Southern Miss all come to mind. Army for football only, then 10 all sport members would be perfect, but I bet Army says no.

NO because they're too rural -they don't fit the AAC profile Charlotte works Don't need Rice, we already have Houston market with UH Army works. Would like to see them and Navy in for all sports.
