Getting a bid and winning the NIT is a great accomplishment. But I'm pretty sure if CJF and the team received invites to the NIT and NCAA tourneys and had to choose, they would choose the later every single time.

There is a number but it is not as significant as the NCAA games. The general public is more interested in the NCAA tourney. Hell, I was not even aware that the NIT even had a women's tournament until USF played in it. This is further exacerbated by the fact that the NIT women's tourney shows no games on tv except for the championship game. To make the argument that winning the NIT has significance compared to making the NCAA tourney does not hold up. This same issue is also applicable to men's side but if we ever get into the NIT I will be doing cartwheels.
