Didn't see it posted anywhere, but the USF Softball team had a walkoff HR last night to win the first game of the season over Illinois State.  Way to go Ladies!

TAMPA, FEB. 9, 2017 – Freshman Bethaney Keen started her collegiate career with a bang on Thursday night.

Keen (Bradenton) hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the seventh to lift No. 24 USF to a 5-4 walk-off win over Illinois State in the season opener. USF scored four runs in the final two innings of its wild, comeback win to begin the USF-Wilson DeMarini tournament at USF Softball Stadium.

Tomorrow's game is a top 25 matchup as Michigan is #6. Hope the ladies can start hot tomorrow. As fun as come from behind wins are would prefer a dominant performance.

Nice to get 2 wins to start the year, but that come from behind stuff against inferior opponents will catch up to them.  Michigan always has a pretty strong team.  Tomorrow will be a nice test for us.

Joe B you are so right. I am glad they won but this will not work against Michigan and Florida.
