Did I miss something? The last I heard of Cherry was this: http://southflorida.247sports.com/Bolt/USF-LB-Cherry-Tweets-hes-leaving-49348210

Nah man, last I heard him and some guy named T Rex was going to shore up that secondary.

Agreed.  Hopefully him playing alongside Kawika Mitchell will pay dividends for the Bulls.

Imagine when Audie leaves and our starting linebackers are Cherry, Mitchell and Stephen Nicholas.

Hipe Ant Henryband Mike Jenkins step it up at corner as well.

I see what you did there...I screwed up .  .I had high hopes for Cherry and did not know he had left the program . Seems like transfers are not worth thew hassle as most never accomplish much and are duds .

How much of a hassle are they really? .... And you sometimes get gems like Kawika, Barnhardt, Tyrone McKenzie and Adams.

Yea but sometimes you get Dontae Aycock, Darrell Scott and Asiantii Woulard. Hoping MVS can have a huge season and etch his name next to the top transfers we've accepted. I'm also not against taking transfers personally but would like to see the number of transfers we take a flier on decrease. Would rather take a groom a HS kid.

Darrell Scott wasn't a bust either, IMO

In the context of one "whole" season no he was not.

3-3-5...woof...I don't know if we have someone who can command a double at the NT spot with enough regularity for the scheme to consistently work. CCS better have his sights set on another Marvin Wilson out there he can get in 2018 to fill that role going forward.

This.

Strong made his bones early in his career with the 4-3 under.  I'm hoping that's our base and maybe we mix in some 3-3-5 in obvious passing downs.  We could possibly transition to a 3-3-5 but we lack that true NT on the roster and you need at least 3 of them for depth purposes.  Once we get some of those type of kids in the program maybe we could look at transitioning to the 3-3-5 but right now I don't think it's that great of a fit.....

814 yards in his one year with us. Good for 10th all-time in a season. Not exactly a bust. I'll take any transfer for one year that puts up a top-10 single season performance.
