So Taggart was winning games and getting recruits in the area while being a DBag?

Basically recruiting with ankle weights?

Isn't this the same thing as what Texas HS Coaches said about Strong?

Just seems shady... why put those feelings in print? You're that mad that a local coach was winning without beating down your door?

Yeah but Strong had no previous ties to Texas, and a lot of the coaches didn't like him after he recruited Florida his first year. I don't think Strong was ever accused of "alienating" high school coaches in the area.

Well, with that Robinson comment, seems to be a little more than just smoke. And those are local programs. We got Bell from HHS, does make you wonder if Carter would have been more in reach if his coach was more on our side.

My guess would be Taggart built his relationships with the players he needed and had no concern with really knowing the coaches or the area besides what he needed.

Isn't Garcia kind of old school? Time was you couldn't get in contact with these recruits and you couldn't get a hold of film without going through the HS coaches.  That used to be the process. Strong is probably more traditional in that regard.
