Preferred walk on.  Huge difference from a walk on.  Walk ons are just random joes who try out for team with no guarantee of making it.  PREFERRED walk ons are actually recruited players, and are guaranteed to be a part of team, but may not be on scholarship due to many reasons such as lack of overall scholarships, but usually have the potential to earn one.

Judging by his note that he posted it looks like he grew up dreaming of being a Bull. About time we start seeing some kids with that thought process! Welcome to the family.

My sentiments exactly. I thought it was all Big-10, SEC, or bust at all times, for all players from that school. :FIREdevil: On a more serious tip, I'm happy this kid will have an opportunity to play for the Bulls. By all accounts, he's a really scrappy kid with a high football IQ and work ethic that lacks the prototypical college football player size.
