There is no other candidate that is a better fit for this job. Was successful as an assistant coach when UF had back to back championships....something that is rarely done. Has NBA coaching experience now. So let's quit Bullsh***ng (no pun intended) and hire buddy so he can start recruiting for next year. He's interview for USF head coaching position like twice and we need to simply hire this man and pay him well. End of story!!!! Now that I have spoken it into existence somehow it shall happen! Have a good day my friends. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anthony_Grant#Head_coaching_record Edited January 19, 2017 by Gatorbull325

But why would he want to leave the NBA? in all seriousness hasn't he shot us down before? Don't remember if it was to go to VCU or after he was already there. I think our next MBB head coach will be a current head coach at the college level personally. Edited January 19, 2017 by 206BULL

HUGE, Jerry. If I were him I wouldn't take it. USF isn't a good spot for a coach that fizzled out in the college game to come back and try to make a splash to reignite the fire around his brand. USF is best served giving a young, naive, up-and-comer to come in and try and hit the lottery or to get a much older coach with a successful track record looking for his swan song. His last season at Alabama had a 5 game improvement and they went to the 2nd round of the NIT. He got fired with a winning record and after going to the post season. Out of 9 seasons, he went to the post season 7 times including the year he got let go. He is still young and a great Florida recruiter. Adding the NBA to his resume can only help him recruit better.
