It's going to be Oklahoma or Ohio State. This is a polite gesture bc he likes Charlie Strong the Man.

What makes you think that? pretty much everywhere you look has him deciding between FSU and LSU.

Getting him on campus means we at least have a shot and his unique visit set up will play to some of our strengths.

Plus, neither Ohio nor Oklahoma has beaches or Publix. Hopefully the staff still here will alert CCS to their importance ...

If CCS promised to name the OCS after him, he'd be a lock for USF

According to 247 Sports, Ryne Giddins came out of high school with a .9708 overall ranking. It appears the Terrance Mitchell was the second highest rated directly out of high school at a distant .9498, with Sean Price third at .9382.

At .9957 Marvin Wilson would become, and probably remain for a very long time, the highest rated player to ever come to USF by a long-shot.

Didn't realize Giddens was that highly rated. FWIW, I believe Selvie was a 2 star coming out of High School, and had a bigger impact.

I may be mistaken, but Selvie came in as a 2 star, but at Center.  Leavitt switched him to defense.

Correct and Nate Allen was a QB who Leavitt switched to Safety. He sure knew how to get players in their best positions to succeed.

What was cool about Giddins was that he was the first, and I think only, USF recruit to be a Parade All American, with his name in this issue of the weekly, national magazine that came with the Sunday Tribune back then.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
