I'm confused as to why Arizona would want him right now. In reality he hadn't done anything. His first hire ended up not working out in Antigua, and while he has made some great hires on paper in Strong and the soccer coach, they haven't won anything yet. I don't think Harlan has proven anything to get that job, but I didn't think Willie had either and he got the Oregon job.

Pretty much touches all the bases .... I guess the thing is he may have been a candidate if he had stayed at UCLA these last 3 years and he hasn't really done anything to negatively impact a look.

Unlike the feeling when we lost Douggie W, I feel like this loss would blow chunks...for the timing of it, especially.

Because he has a proven track record in fundrasing at AZ and UCLA.

How has that continued here at USF?  He fired at least one assistant he hired in the fund raising dept within 15 months of hiring the guy.

Harlan hasn't done anything much besides getting CCS to USF. He's made some nice looking hires in non revenue sports but that's not how ADs are judged. It wouldn't be a huge loss imo.

U of Arizona's president is currently under fire and has announced not to have her contract extended.  She's currently under contract until mid-2018.

So that complicates all of this.

Being that she's only there for a little over 1 more year, will she hire a new AD now?  Or will they just allow the interim-AD to continue that position until the new president is able to hire whom s/he wants?

\He undercut Taggart in the whole Ybor/Gonzmart thing.

He saved a relationship with a key donor after Taggart said something stupid.  Taggart is obviously no worse off for it.

Make Charlie Strong AD if this happens. Maybe D'ernest Johnson.  j/k

Well...since we can't determine a position for Judson if he decides to grace us with his presence...we can make him AD
