CFB 5 college football curiosities we’ll never get to see

Excerpt:

San Diego State and USF represents the best Group of Five matchup college football fans will never get to see — not these versions of the Aztecs and Bulls, at any rate. No Group of Five team played a more flawless defensive game than San Diego State did against Greg Ward and Houston. That game felt like a Group of Five Super Bowl, and the Aztecs owned the final three quarters.

Going up against that fire-breathing SDSU defense would be USF quarterback Quinton Flowers, who was dazzling and deft in the Birmingham Bowl against South Carolina, whose defense is not terrible. Flowers versus Team Tenochtitlan and acclaimed defensive mastermind Rocky Long? If only we could find a place to have these teams play football.

Interesting.  Of the 4 G5 teams mentioned, 2 were turn around jobs by Taggart, WKU and USF.  Got to give the man credit.

He's a terrible coach. Only wins because he gets bailed out by his players. And no he doesn't recruit his players that's all his assistant coaches. Can't believe he ever got a P5 job... /sarcasm

When I first heard the addition of SJSU, I thought for the longest time it was SDSU. That would be a heckuva opening week matchup. But alas.

If only we could trade SBSU for SDSU. I wouldn't even mind losing the home game and playing out here twice! :D

If only someone could give him credit for being a good coach and yet find fault.

Ahhh, cruel world of logic that makes that impossible around here.

You must decide to be a hater or an admirer.
