How might we beat the quality of teams next year that we beat in 2007?

As referenced earlier, apples and oranges. Higher highs but lower lows in 2007 .... I think I'd take the 11 win year, ending in a win over an SEC team.

This team is more focused than 07.

I'd love to take the 16 offense and combine with 07 defense.  That would be I think a top 10 team.

I would have to say 07 based on the Auburn and WV wins....both of which I can still remember exactly how I felt at the end of both of those games. Chills! 2016 was great too and QF kept me on the edge of my seat so 16 is a close 2nd. 2017 has the potential of being the best and I hope it is.

07 team beat better teams although I'll never forgive them for losing to rutgers... Beating auburn and a top 5 West Virginia in the same season trumps the several losses.

True that man. Both teams were special for us for different reasons. My answer to the question is this year's team, mostly because of how they rebounded from the awfulness of 2011-14. And a lot of what makes THAT so special is what the '07 team did.

That Rutgers game is the only game in any sport that I feel comfortable complaining about the refs.

Personally the 2007 journey was much more exciting considering I was a student then, and it's hard to compare with the completely different schedule and wins. 11-2 and finishing ranked, ending the season on a high note I think I gives 2016 the edge as a whole body of work.

Too bad I also recall Rutgers and the many crying girls at the watch party I went to... about 50 people all sad... sad sad times.
