Geno felt really disrespected. ESPN was giving this minimal coverage,  acting like it's not that big of a deal,  and essentially asking him multiple times how it feels to actually have to coach again because Breanna Stewart and company pretty much let him coast through the last 4 years. This was a message to the entire nation.  They week run the table this season and get to 113 straight going into next year.

UCONN could do no wrong tonight. Someone told me that in Womens B ball, there might be 15 elite players every year, and UCONN gets over half of them. I have not checked...but it sounds plausible.

I have also read some assertions , or references to how their Head Coach recruits, the things he says about other programs. Not glowing comments.

Interesting stat... Tonite's win over USF is the largest margin of victory in UConn's 90 game winning streak.   Hope we use that as motivation for when they come to our house

Tough game, but they were out to make a statement tonight, and we were the deer in the headlights

I don't even know what to say... I mean, I don't think any of us were expecting to see the team win or even keep it within 10 in the 4th... But my God, that was the Hawks vs. District 5.

USF's games vs. Temple will tell the tale of where this team goes.

I'm not going to go back to the end of last year's posts about WBB.  But I'm pretty sure that I mentioned how much speed we were losing with Jenkins, Williams and Stringfield. We have a bunch of nice players but we don't have fast, athletic players. The few minutes I watched of this game it was painfully obvious.  They beat us to all the loose balls and rebounds.  Beat us to spots on the court. The rebounds that we were getting vs lesser teams went to UConn.  I am not dissing this team. I love watching them play.  But when we lose 2 top players we can't replace them like UConn does year after year.
