Do you think Bama winning NC helps the G5?

If by miracle you mean proper scheduling aligning with elite talent on the field then yes we are in agreenace. Very tough. But outside of that it isn't a miracle. ESPN Ne the playoff committee were ready to deem Houston that team before everyone realized they really weren't all that great. If they would've ran the table, they would've been in the top 4 over Ohio State. Undefeated with wins over OU and a blowout win over Ville would've got them in

No room for ever with G5 teams...

They will never make the playoffs

Everyone agrees with you given the current format.  The hope is that the playoff expands to 8 teams.  In this scenario a G5 team "might" be able to make it

If there's not a guaranteed spot for a G5 school, it would still be a long-shot.

Btw - it's been proven that cinderella stories don't draw as big of numbers as two blue bloods playing. The notion of anyone winning is a fun one, but not something that captures eyeballs. We need to be P5.

Thanks.

But this actually refutes Great 8's claim, not supports it. I thought the Cinderella effect was real - this says yes
