All I know is I've had more than my fair share of battles with them over the years on said topic.

All I know is I've had more than my fair share of battles with them over the years on said topic. This is part of the email HCC sent me the other day regarding the start of classes this week. Not sure what TSA's official position is, but HCC isn't stupid. Dear Colleagues: On Monday, January 9, 2017, Tampa will host the National College Football Championship Game (NCFCG) at Raymond James Stadium. This will be the first NCFCG for Tampa, and only the third NCFCG in the country. The prior two NCFCG’s have been massive, all-day, multi-venue events (even though kick-off is set for 8:30 p.m.). It’s not the Super Bowl, but it’s close. The Tampa Sports Authority is preparing for 70,000 attendees. The City of Tampa is considering road closures around Raymond James Stadium. HCC reopens after its Winter Break on Monday, January 9, 2017, for the Spring Term (attached). With the NCFCG at Raymond James Stadium on that day, it will be impossible for the Dale Mabry Campus to conduct normal business operations. As such, the Dale Mabry Campus will remain closed on Monday, January 9, 2017, to reopen on Tuesday, January 10, 2017. All of the other Campuses and the District Offices will reopen on Monday, January 9, 2017. Only the Dale Mabry Campus will remain closed on Monday, January 9, 2017. When we start putting 70k butts in seats, I imagine they'll relax their position a bit.

Fanfest was at the convention center. They're spreading the wealth around town.
