yeah...srsly.   I mean...if they were just mediocre in the Big 12, i hate to say it, but they could be very good in the AAC.

Charlie Strong was the DC at UF in 2008. I think he has a solid grasp of the spread

There were 9 sophomores starting for Texas last year.. May have been the cause for the defense not being very good.

Wasn't CCS the DC at UF when they won the national title some years ago? 

While nothing's ever guaranteed when college kids are involved, CCS is so clearly and obviously an upgrade over Raymond Woodie in terms of defensive coaching, I'm almost embarrassed to have to write it down. 

I'll take my chances with CCS...

Also, his defense at UL went up against spread teams in the ACC and 1 year in the AAC and seemed to hold their own.   As for his defensive failings in the spread heavy Big 12, you just have to hope he has self evaluated/scouted and learned from that experience.

Won two NC as assistant coach at UF.
