Why? That would mean he would probably get more touches...unless he was afraid of getting hurt again.

Running backs have a very limited carreer now. Best to earn while he can and maybe does well add gets a big contract after 3 years

He is either good enough or he isn't. If he is, he will be fine. If he isn't he will fall away. If he was drafted in an earlier round next year its the same story, but he will beat himself up for another year and his coach left so a new staff is a big question mark. Except that's not how the league works...you're not given nearly as many looks or patience if you're a lower draft pick, compared to a top rd pick. This years draft is loaded. Honestly, I'm befuddled with the decision.

If he goes head to head with the rest of the class, I think his draft stock goes up. It's a risk either way--if he stayed, CCS may have changed up the offense or the staff enough to take away a little potency. Would be a tough decision for any kid/family, but can hardly blame him for going after the dream. I love me some DJ, but he's more of a utility back IMO-does everything well.. He can be elusive and hit hard but doesn't have the burst like MM to get to the second level quick. Sands seemed to have some promise there, but I guess I'm thinking like some others that it's going to be a committee at RB next season. It'll be an interesting competition in the offseason! Thanks and best of luck MM!! Edited January 6, 2017 by raptorcj
