You know, the more I think about it, the more I want all our best players to go early to the draft

If we become known as a faster pipeline to the NFL, it will help recruiting

The only time a player should declare early is if he already graduated or is expected to be selected within the first few rounds.

If they do go back it's not always at the same school either. USF has an alum in the NFL with over 9,000 receiving yards and 57 TD's and he never played a down here. If he goes back to get his degree good on him but if the NFL is where his heart is then he made the right decision for him.

I'm sure CSH was too busy golfing to recruit such talent already on campus

This article is a couple of years old but it addresses the issue.  http://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/leaving-early-for-nfl-draft-a-riskier-proposition-every-year/

Pretty sure Vincent Jackson was already in the NFL when Skip got here. I was using him as an example since he left college early and came back to a different institution 10 years later to earn his degree....

Mack now listed as the #5 RB (behind Cook, Fournette, McCaffrey, and Mixon) and a 3rd round pick.  If true, he made a great decision.

http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/prospectrankings/2017/RB

Ahead of Perine, Gallman, Foreman, McNichols, Connor, Pumphrey, etc.

I didn't expect to see this. Looking forward to following him throughout the process.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
