Here we go again. The lights on the scoreboard are barely cooled off. Give it a few more days, a few decisions on the new staff, and maybe a lost recruit or two and the high will fade. That, or they forgot the sarcasm font...again.

If WMU loses, it's possible we could be the highest ranked G5 in the last poll. No reason we shouldn't be considering we would have been the only g5 to beat a p5 team. I'll take it. Goal accomplished. Now lets go 13-1 next year with a AAC championship and major bowl victory (as G5 representative...don't know what bowl that may be next year). Be nice if we win out in the AAC and go to a major bowl and Alabama to have a off year ( 11-2 ) to be the opponent

Honestly, am I being unrealistic? Look at our schedule vs who we are bringing back from our team that just went 11-2. I personally think we were the best team in the AAC this year. With what should be an improved D next year and a weaker AAC I can't envision a loss to any conference foe next year. Illinois, San Jose St, & UMass went a combined 9-27 this season. Stony Brook had a losing record as a FCS team. Losing to any of those teams wouldn't be a total disappointment? Hell, I'm not saying we will or should be in the playoffs and be a perennial national powerhouse. I'm just saying everything points to an improved team, weaker conference, and weaker schedule overall. So going from 11-2 to 14-0 doesn't feel like much of a leap to me. But if you enjoy setting your goals and expectations low then have fun with that. Go Bulls!
