I wonder if there is anyway some UT players transfer to follow Strong. Didn't a lot of players claim they would boycott playing if he was fired? Having to sit a year and obviously being a long distance between the schools makes the chances slim imo.

What do others think?

Pretty tough topic to respond to in 28 minutes...I'd give it a little more time.  There might be some research underway.  In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if some potential respondents were in deep thought right now.

At least post a census report with comparisons of Austin and Tampa to bolster the thread.

I hear you. I can't think of a situation quite like ours. It's not like the usual, coach leaving his players high and dry. The guy was fired and it seemed like all his players were strongly against it (no pun intended)

usually the school will block transfers when the previous coach goes to a new school.

Even if they fired said coach? Seems pretty ****** to me. A lot of kids go to a program for the coach and not the university.

I think this usually applies to intra-conference transfers or transfers to rival programs. I don't think Texas would block any transfers to USF. Especially if they are an upper class man.

yup, it happens all the time.

1)Kirby Smart block transferring to Miami.

2)Louisville blocked transfers to arkansas when Petrino was at arkansas

3) Baker Mayfield fiasco

These guys have exams the next couple weeks. Give them a minute or two to get things situated before we start moving them to a new school the day Strong is hired.
