Wasn't able to find anything else on him. Seems like we have plenty of receivers in this class, but he is listed at 6'5".

In this day and age, it's not a great sign when you don't show up on any of the recruiting websites.

Perhaps he is projected as a TE

We were desperate for a te in this class after a few whiffs. Hope he can gain some weight. Looks like he has good hands.

I have no problem picking up another BIG receiver. Based on his Junior season film:

  • He doesn't have break away speed, so I agree that he could transition to the TE role.
    • Curious as to how well he blocks
  • Has soft hands, which is always a important thing for receivers
  • Has good field awareness

His senior stats are good.  Played in 11 games avg 55.3 a game.   His longest play was 80 yards but Avg yards per catch is 18.4.   Ultimately he's the second most productive receiver  on his team with 33 catches for 608 yards.

Their best receiver is a Junior an early Georgia southern committ Rashod Bateman.  Their team runs more of a traditional spread than our run based spread so he will probably get really good at blocking at USF and he looks good in goal line situations as a new option.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

"For me, I never considered it that way (as a stepping stone), honestly. When I was offered the head job at South Florida, and I'm sincere about this, I never thought I would ever go anywhere."
