Yeah, I guess that's what you're supposed to say at this point.

Instead, maybe we should have a depth of inquiry about such things.

I find it crazy that our ham-handed Feds had him in contact about ISIS contacts, but he could still get a gun?

Political Correctness?  The Constitution?

The NRA ... although it's probably best we give this time for all the "facts" to get sifted thru before blaming ham handed Feds or Wayne LaPierre.

This is all Mad Cow talk fellas....just pull away for a while.

The facts include his being investigated by the Feds, not the NRA.

I recall some "facts" from the Boston bombing within the first few days that didn't really pan out .... and you may want to just go ahead and move this to the MC.

Don't be so defensive.

Per CNN (widely thought to be a "news" source, especially by those rejecting facts): " In the past, the FBI investigated Mateen for possibly having ties or being a sympathizer to Islamic extremism, according to a law enforcement officials and a U.S. official. "

http://www.cnn.com/2016/06/12/us/orlando-shooter-omar-mateen/

So let's assume that reporting is accurate, for the sake of discussion.  Or, are we against that right as well?

Well, we could always try and stop people from being able to buy military grade assault rifles. Would that be a serious enough step?

Yeah, because clearly this asshat would have obeyed the law that says he should have an AR.

He might have been able to find an AR, but that still doesn't change the fact that people shouldn't be allowed to own military weapons.

Common ground step Obama laid out already is to have a law preventing people even Us citizens who are on no fly lists and/or known isil sympathisers from legally purchasing any weapons.  I know that pisses off the NRA because it limits sales and gives more power to the feds but I feel its necessary.  Ar15 arent necessarily the problem here.  Also mental health checks need to be seriously looked at just like regular physical is important and necessary.

From my perspective in Orlando Metro, seeing people act out of compassion in the aftermath is actually really beautiful.
