I am excited that my son chose to be a Bull (had many options and even qualified for a merit scholarship).  He lives in Tampa, but prefer that he lives on campus to experience real life as a student.  Does anyone have advice on dorm selection?  For example, which ones to try to get or which ones to stay away from?  I know they range in cost.  Any somewhat current feedback would be great.

For suite style Juniper Poplar is the newest and nicest.  Cypress and Maple are also good.

Apartment style, go with Holly or Magnolia

Juniper Poplar are on the west side of campus and Cypress and Maple are near the sports area.  Just a heads up, it looks like they will start tearing down part of the Andros Hall, so there will be less on campus beds until they are done.

I think any of the USF dorms are fine...just hope your son gets a roommate he can halfway get along with.
