That play is good for minus 5 yards..it's a Taggart favorite.

I guess that is his inexperience running the spread. I have never seen a WR screen that has to be thrown all the way across to the sideline of the opposite hash. Too much time for the DBs to react and fight off the block. So dumb.

This alone is reason to fire Taggart in my opinion.

Worked against FAMU somewhat, FSU ate it up, Maryland ate it up.

What kills me is that they ran it on 3rd and very short...with the RBs we have why not hand off to Tice or Mack

If something never works, do it over and over.

Run a screen, but one where our QB has to throw less than 20 yards to his receiver, with the ball still behind the line of scrimmage.

If you go back and watch each of those screens, there is one thing missing in all of them.....an even half ass block by the other receiver over there, we dont have the blocking receivers to run this

dausfbulls11:  Correct on most, but wasn't Bronson called for a penalty blocking on one of those screens early?

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
