Weather for FSU Game...

50 posts in this topic

At the breakfast before the game - because I knew how hot it would be - I drank about a gallon of water... and when I got to the stadium, I bought four more... I drank them all and never had to pee -- it all came out as sweat.

I was lucky because I pre-planned... so I was able to stay in the stands the whole time.

And I was about 10 rows from the top in the north endzone -- you could fry eggs on the benches up there.

They ran out of water at the UCF game in 2006 at the Citrus Bowl. That was a brutally hot game as well.

This. I have been to most of the hot games referenced on here and this is the hottest I can remember being in my life.

I was really feeling light headed at UF and had to sit under the stands a bit and grab a Gatorade to get back to normal.  I was surprised to find a great place to tailgate before the game.   Overall it was a fun day, but the heat was brutal.

The first 2 hours of ND was no picnic either... If I remember correctly it was the hottest kickoff temp they had at 97. We seem to gravitate to those hot games for some reason!

Weather update looks like rain may hit earlier now with a high of only 78... going to see a ton of running on both sides.

Yeah the ND game was brutal even for us. Walking around campus early and it was just scorching in that stadium until the "storm" came.

I remember the UF game very well!!  It was so hot that the first quarter hadn't even finished and we had to spend the rest of the game on the concourse.  In fact, we were right near the medical office and at least 700 people required treatment.

After that game I swore that I would never go to a day game in Florida during the first two months of the season, and to date I haven't.

The FSU game, although it was hot, it wasn't nearly as bad as the UF game.

UF was hands down hottest game. FSU was bad, but at gator game they were carrying unconscious people to get help. I drank probably 6-7 Gatorade's and water yet still felt like I was gonna die. Never again...

If it is any consultation I was at the coldest USF game ever. About eight years ago at Uconn. My son and I would take heat breaks in the bathroom and run our hands under warm water. However, they did not run out of hot chocolate!

Since me and my wife will be at the game with out little one, it's great news that it won't be crazy hot! At the home games we have the club section to get the little lady out of the heat if she gets fussy, I was worried about what we were going to do at this game if she got too hot. Good to know the temperature won't be brutal!

Hey guys -

So there is a cold front moving into the panhandle tonight / tomorrow morning.

The hourly forecast from the Weather Channel (weather.com) shows a 60% chance of scattered thunderstorms and temperatures in the 70s.

To me this sounds a lot like Notre Dame... possibility of lightning delays.

The Rutgers game a few years back in NJ(last time we played them there) It was cold as hell as well ( was below freezing at kickoff)  Had heat warmers in my socks, gloves and hat. Wind chill was in the single digits to below 0.
