Just curious

In the years following the Leavitt dismissal, those of us that have remained as fans have endured quite an extended period of bad leadership and bad football.

Despite that, it's a new season and I have a Saturday to prepare for.

With that said, I suppose beginning Thursday I'll become even more useless around the office. In the good old days, I was able to focus on work only until lunch on the Monday preceding the first game. Now I can probably hold out until early Thursday.

How are you guys doing? Feeling any excitement? Planning to blow off work starting when?

Anyone planning a big tailgate? Anything leading up to the game? Is anyone "feeling it"? Any excitement or interest around town? Campus?

At my work, there's a bit of buzz, not just from us die hard fans, but from others who think we should have a good year. I was planning a decent size tailgate until events of today hit. Despite that My plan is to get to the stadium at 2 pm and start the festivities.

I am from "out of town", but very excited to see my Bulls play on Saturday and hopefully start the season off right.  I am starting out at 6:00 a.m. Saturday morning for a 4 hour drive.  Looking forward to a great weekend in Tampa.

Just got the email with the tailgate menu for the first game, so it is on. What I have noticed for me is that I'm more apprehensive/nervous about this season starting than I have been in a long while, as opposed to just the anticipation of a new season.  Getting too old for another new coach and all the ******** that will come with it. I think the biggest curse that Holtz had in front of him was that coaches immediately following legends usually don't succeed. There is a transition period, with a coach scapegoat, and I'm hoping like Hell that transition period is over ...

My productivity has been down this month for sure... I haven't looked forward to a season like this since perhaps 2010 or 2011...

New season, and hopefully the Bulls soccer teams have set a good omen for the upcoming football season.   I would like to see us take it to some teams this year and if we go 6-6 I would be happy.   I think am blowing off work on Friday to get my tailgate stuff in order.   Moved my seats this year and I am going to be setting with my friends.   Hope we show a better product on the field.

Visiting the site more, and here's my first post since May... so there is that I suppose.

I'm being cautious about this year -- not even cautiously optimistic -- just waiting to see what happens and hoping for the improvement everyone has been waiting for. Will be streaming the game as always.

I am more optimistic then I have been in a while.  I'm trying not to get too excited, because it could all crumble very quickly.  There seems to be an optmism leaking out from camp unlike any we have had in a while.  Hopefully USF football will consume much time this fall, and not for speculation about a new head coach.

I am productive at work, but I've been reading quite a bit from Twitter and here.  Always excited for the start of any season...

3rd time is the charm they say... It's CWT 3rd year and he's our 3rd HC. I feel this year will be different and will start seeing some of the ole USF ways to start coming back.

I was so hyped last year. This year I have toned it down considerably. That being said, Friday I will be in USF mode ready to go.
