In one paragraph he says we're coming off a "mediocre" season and then in the next he says it was an "abysmal" season.

I know it's nitpicky, but it undermines the writer's point. Going from mediocre to bowl bound is totally different than abysmal. Abysmal gets CWT fired, mediocre buys him another year.

I know it's nitpicky, but it undermines the writer's point. Going from mediocre to bowl bound is totally different than abysmal. Abysmal gets CWT fired, mediocre buys him another year.
Not really in one sentence he was refering to both teams which may average out to mediocre. In the other he actually was only refering to USF and actually wrote "abysmal to bad" for the first and second year respectively. Anyhow it doesnt undermine the perspective of the piece. Edited by Bull-Hornz

going from bowl-bound to a mediocre losing season is abysmal to USF fans IMO. :(
