If he's any good, I can look past the douchebaggery.

Leave it Taggart...it's his job and his program.  Kids scares with his potential to be a cancer/distraction, but I have not even 1% of the whole story.

The better questions are; is the number 3 available? And if so are we going to allow him to start with no competition from day 1?

Boom, there it is ... He would have to do some serious damage control if I was a coach at a school he was looking at.

i believe I read the coach that recruited him isn't at Texas any longer and you never know what they promised him to get him at Texas and then conveniently changed once he got there...just saying

Honestly, those are some pretty innocuous tweets.  I don't think that's a big deal, and that's just guys being guys.  That kind of stuff happens all the time.

I'd say take him if we have a spot for him.

How are we in any position to turn away players with the type of talent most of the country seems to agree he has?

No one has the whole story and there's no telling what truly happened. If he's interested in coming here you bring him (obviously do your HW), but I think Taggart and Co. already know what they're dealing with after recruiting him hard in the last year.

I would imagine he's not leaving just because he wasn't given the number he wanted. It was probably a couple of different things. As long as he's not a criminal I see no reason not to bring him in. Not every 18 year old kid is going to be mature/wise beyond his years. Probably has a lot of maturing to do as a man and as a football player and that's okay.

Did he visit yesterday? If so, any news?
