CWT has been unable to take the program out of the nosedive created by Holtz. The consistent 40k crowds won't return until the program can be in the conversation for a Top 25 ranking and can win the big non-conference games the national media cares about. No one nationally cares if USF beats ANYONE in conference. And that goes for just about everyone else in the AAC.

Beat a strong non-conference team and at least be in the discussion for a ranking and people will return. Going 6-6 and playing in the Vodoo Bahamas Bowl won't lift attendance much.

Apparently you didn't bother reading the rest of the thread .... but your assessment of USF attendance is probably accurate.

The thread should be retitled to "new attendance on plummeting data"

Yes the title is deceptive, bu-u-u-u-u-u-t falls in line with slick's desire to see the sport shut down.

Oh please. Sharpen your comprehension skills. I've never said I wanted the demise of CF.

Just non-contact?

I was in medical imaging for a quarter of a century, several years in orthopedics and the last 15 at a trauma center. I have an interest in medical issues and am pro reducing risk of debilitating brain disease as well as informed consent of the possibility of it occurring in not only football but a number of sports that involve rapid deceleration of the brain. And I find it reprehensible what the NFL did to cover up their knowledge of this issue.

But apparently , many fans could care less. Is that your stance? It's all BS, just play?

Put me in the care less column. At this point, anyone playing football is well aware of the risks and rewards.

Put you AND the NFL in that column. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2530677-junior-seaus-family-reportedly-not-permitted-to-speak-at-hall-of-fame-induction

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.

“In my mind, I’m kind of like, ‘OK, excuses over'. We know what we need to do. We’ve got the right team together, and now we move forward, and we’ll evaluate and be accountable to each other, including myself, from this point forward.”
