  1. The IPF looks great! However, the grass field looks like my front yard... We need some rain!
  2. I would be for this, until he went to a ucf game and tweeted about USF.
  3. Didn't Colorado just lose 6 guys to the portal today!?
  4. After watching this video, I just received a UCF diploma for a B.A. in Hospitality.
  5. While this very well could be true! However, remember how we got to where we were the first time. USF carries a lot of potential. The right people are in place, and doing the right things (for the most part). Believe it or not, with the looming P2 AND major uncertainty with NIL & transfer portal... The Big12 is NOT safe either. Any top Big12 performer will get gobbled up by the P2 and who knows how that will impact their media deal? What I want USF to do now... is be more aggressive in taking over the Tampa Bay media market. How can we get businesses (and our newspaper) to buy back in?
  6. man, this is starting to feel like 2016 USF football... The difference is, we still had the talent in 2017.
  7. They don't need them, but if the SEC takes FSU & Clemson... They prevent the B1G from tapping into the southern markets. Why let the B1G expand right into Florida? It doesn't seem like they are clamoring for Miami (which they should) or USF (which is my dream).
  8. I can't wait to see the REAL renderings when they are released sometime this month!? I am also excited about the football center, as well! USF facilities are going to be legit!
  9. Man, if only the Tampa Bay Times could spin for USF like this
  10. I didn't want to make it political... but, FSU admin seems like they have the financial sense of a 17 year old teenager.
  11. For real! But I can understand those students... they were probably 17/18 when they made these financial decisions (without legal representation or guidance). However, a whole university!?
  12. I don't understand the lawsuit with the ACC... It's a GoR that you signed. But, I guess it's a quicker way for a solution to "more money". I wish FSU (and Clemson) sued the CFP or NCAA, actually.
  13. I believe you are correct. The Tampa market was somewhat in FSU's territory. If FSU were to leave; the ACC loses all of Central/North Florida (which Miami did NOT carry). USF absolutely can fill that area (especially becausue the B12 is encroaching with central).
  14. Then this is good news! Especially with our AD's ACC connections.
  15. The biggest threat may actually be Miami. They do NOT want to be in a league with us. If they can't get out of the ACC (then they would not vote to allow us in). It's how we feel about FAU.
  16. Even if they wanted to go... Could they afford this giant GoR that FSU (and Clemson) are fighting?
  17. Wait, so if we win today and tomorrow... And let's just say that we lost the championship game by a point or two... (or even a buzzer beater loss); there is still a chance that we wouldn't be a lock for the NCAAT?
  18. Even before NIL, I wanted CFB to have salary caps on head coaches. Especially, since most of them are technically employed by state-funded instiutions. This would have prevented the P5 from grabbing head coaches after a successful season (I was salty when we lost Taggart to Oregon).
  19. How funny would it be, when FBS ends up with a P5 again. Imagine: P2 revenue dips (because of their exlcusionary money grabs); the ACC collapses like the Pac-12; so the remaining ACC teams basically merge with the AAC (similar to the Pac-2 scheduling with the regional MWC) because the SEC/B1G snatched up a couple good ones. However, networks realize that regional games actually bring TRUE fans (and make non-football sports manageable). And then, by sheer lawsuits, NIL (or even unionization), regional travel, and non-athletic booster money (or some political influence) -- the P5 is now: Big10, SEC, Big12, ACC+AAC, and Pac-2 + MWC. Media deals are renegotiated (with the Big12; ACC+AAC; and Pac-2+MWC have nearly the same revenue? So anyways, this is my worse case scenario if USF doesn't get called up within the next 3-5 years.
  20. I mean, Memphis and SMU are out... USF, if they focus, can win it all. We just can't sleep on any team. And it's very likely that FAU will be the team to beat.
  21. The expense is also the football center (which, I really like so far). We can't downplay the football center; as this is necessary for a P5 program (recruiting) to have in this day and age. Some minor changes they can make to fully improve the stadium design. 1.) Ensure there is a full wrap around concourse (that can view the field) similar to the RayJ now. 2.) Cover the stadium frame (similar to what Houston TDECU stadium did). I actually like their simple, yet standard design. Then again, the SDSU stadium has the exact same design as our rendering (regarding the stands' frame view) being exposed. 3.) For the price and only 35k seats? Ensure that we have seatbacks. Why bleachers? (if bleachers, then only in the student sections).
