  1. Is anyone going to this game? Will I be the only Bulls fan at Legion Field? If going, where are you staying? I'm making arrangements (a little on the late side).
  2. Move the Band back to the end zone. Nobody on the east side of the stadium can hear them now. can't hear the cheerleaders (one of them should have some sort of mike) and can't hear the Band. All we have to bring us into participation is that blasted stadium announcer. And he could use some training on the collegiate atmosphere. By the way...if you look around at the games, you won't believe how few people sit in their seats for more than a quarter. There are more people wandering around the stadium than watching the game! We need fan training.
  3. I tuned into their game for a few minutes and they had Kummer playing at QB...he's their 3rd string guy. Don't know what was wrong with Hassell or if he came in later.
  4. I saw a piece of the article...was it Bush or did they not pass the floor votes? I would think it is equally a representation problem (who are your Sen. & House members) than a Bush problem.
  5. I'm probably the last person to know this since I don't have much time to be on the board, but (quest 1) have you all seen this? (quest 2) what are our typical television revenues for an espn game? (quest 3) are we getting as much as pitt? (quest 4) is it definitely ESPN?.... looked like it could be ABC. http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/04128/312638.stm
  6. UCF's 9 conference chps. are meaningless to me.  The only thing about them is that they get them in some NCAA's.  No respect is due when they play in a marginal conference.  We would have had that many also with our teams.  Keep in mind that our baseball team was 2-1 (I believe) against them.  That was one of their conf. chps. I do believe.  Football wasn't one of the conf. chps. either (unless you're counting from the bottom). I believe they did take us in v-ball and maybe the tennis teams which were inconsistent.  Face it, UCF... At Sun really sucks... you have pretty good ath programs but it's tough to gauge how you would do in a real conference.  Better luck with the step up to (although dilluted) CUSA.  It will at least put you in a conf with a few respected schools in various sports.  Now pipe down or rejoice about your conf chps on your own board.
  7. People are so taken in by coming from the big name. In my business, when we have hired from large companies, we have ended up with people who have been raised in a system where they were trained to hide and be yes people. The ones out of the smaller, independents have been forward, creative and independent thinkers who are pro-business. Give Doug a chance....he's got more credentials than LeeRoy had coming into the job and I didn't hear you whining about his performance. I BULLIEVE he is the right guy.
  8. Way to go, Jimmy. You're amazing. Athlete/hero...what's next? The Gold Medal.
  9. way to go Bulls! wish I could have been there. Seems like a much improved baseball team this year covering up the pain from basketball!
  10. Baxter left for the right reasons, if there are any. He is a good kid and I wish him well.
