  1. I'm assuming that he is keeping a lot of his Texas staff. Reason is, they said his Staff budget will go up after the buyout ends.
  2. The teams that should be worried are the out of state teams that rely on 3* florida kids
  3. I agree, but he won't need it this upcoming season.
  4. I'm saying, when its unfairly difficult for 1 race to get a certain job you might want to support those trying to help instead of hating on them. They're already going uphill just to get the interview.
  5. Dude, socks and slides are appropriate winter gear for Florida.
  6. Why shouldn't he be interested in the advancement of black coaches? Why aren't you?
  7. In 1985, 52% of NFL players were black. That was 31 years ago with average player age of around 25 years old. That would make the average NFL player in 1985 in his mid 50's now. The numbers just don't add up. Think about this. You can probably name every single black head coaching candidate for all schools in FBS. I wonder if you could name all the white ones. *edit - Just to note, I believe you when you say you don't see race as an issue. I just don't think you understand that the old "guys" in charge still do.
  8. That is another part of the problem. Most of the time, they are given less of a chance to even succeed because they have to take the crap jobs just to get a chance in the first place. I think the only exceptions I remember are Charlie Strong and Ty Willingham. However in both cases those schools were near an all time low.
  9. More than 90% of FBS coaches are white. In a place where only around 40% of the players are.
  10. Race is not a barrier? There's around 15 or less black head coaches. Only 1 black head coach that has lost his job has ever been given a second chance. Easy for you to say that race isn't a barrier.
  11. You can count the number of black head coaches that have been given a second chance on 1 finger. I don't think race can be ignored.
  12. Just a number though. For a big name they could go back to the $$$ men.
  13. They could if Taggert isncalling the plays. BUT, I doubt they will. Anything close to $2million per year would make him the highest paid assistant in the ncaa. Arranda just got 1.8mil base at LSU.
  14. I like Strong, but I am conservative on his potential. If USF was already a P5 team Im not so sure Id be happy to get him but under current circumstances he appears to be best option.
  15. Its hard to make the playing field fair when its the P5's field and they would like it even more lopsided. Maybe USF can lobby the state to push UF or FSU to assist in going ACC or SEC.
