There are rumors going around saying that George Baker will join Quavon Taylor and transfer out of USF. They say that Baker, a former ABC standout would transfer to FIU with Taylor.  Have you guys heard anything about this rumor.  My understanding is that Quavon is currently at a JC and will enroll at FIU in the fall.

If true that would make me extremely upset. George Baker is a tremendous athlete

I have not seen that anywhere and I would not like it either. I was thinking George would have a shot at the return game at least.

I hope not. We need the CB help. Baker will be a real good player and was one of the highlights of last years class.

Just hope the rumor started by wishful thinking . . .

It would explain why a couple of our CB recruits talked about the chance to have an "immediate impact".

I agree. He certainly doesn't have a lot of great players in front of him to worry about. I would expect a lot of other players to leave before him. He already sat out one year and would have to sit out another if he went to FIU, unless he got a hardship waiver. It really doesn't make any sense. Of course, there may be some other factors we don't know about.

Sounds more like wishful thinking, as Baker was mentioned several times during Leavitt's radio show a guy with a chance to play next year.
